Principal Message
With great pleasure that I welcome you all, the students, alumni, the parents, the hoteliers, the hospitality industries and all the stake holders.
I am extremely happy to be the Principal of IHM Lucknow, a prestigious institute in the city of Nawabs and Kebabs. As Principal I am hugely impressed by the commitment of the college and colleagues to the provision of an excellent all-round education for our students in our facilities. Under my leadership, and as a team working together, we strongly promote academic achievement among our students. The cultural, sporting and other successes of all of our students and staff are also proudly celebrated together. It is remarkable to know that with all your effort, IHM Lucknow is one of the most preferred Central Institute whose rank is under the Best 10 in the country always.
Education is a life-long learning process. Learning happens all the time; not only in a pre-designated place called the classrooms. It happens in the home, in hostels, in residences. Shaping young, impressionable minds is one of life’s biggest challenges. At CIHM Lucknow, we aim to empower our students to grow as individuals with strong open discerning minds with an international perspective, preparing them to make a mark in the global village – the world has come to be today.
Ours is an innovative institute drawing on the talents and skills of academics, students to provide a host of educational programmes and projects. Our academic programmes and innovative teaching methodologies encourage students to develop critical-thinking and learn through enquiry and reason, to exchange thoughts and ideas, to develop key personal and social values, to take ownership for his/her choices and to set goals to realize their own unique potential.
Teacher-student relationships take time to develop and deepen and need a climate of love and trust. There must also be continuity between teachers and students both within the classroom and in the wider school environment. We strive to provide an environment that is basically sacred, and have freedom that allows students to learn even from their mistakes, to develop into person molded by the correlatives of freedom and responsibility.
