IHM Lucknow Hosts The XIX All India Student Chef Competition
The XIXth All India student Chef Competition was held and organized at the Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow. The event was held from 7th Feb to 10th Feb '2005. This competition is conducted each year by National Council of Hotel Management (NCHM), New Delhi to explore the building talents in the field of culinary art, and is today considered as one of India's best tests of excellence.
The competition comprised the following categories;
- Culinary Quiz
- International Surprise Basket
- Indian Cuisine
- Kitchen Planning
- Individual Exercise
- Fruit & Vegetable Carving
21 teams out of 24 institutes under the NCHM participated in this mega event. Different team of students having a flair for cooking gathered at the venue to display there culinary skills and knowledge. Exquisite dishes from multi cuisines were presented, which was assessed and judged by culinary experts from the industry and the best in each category was awarded.
